Netta - you are Cortona's best kept secret!
-
I went to Netta’s with a group of five other friends for her cooking class. It was amazing! We all agreed that our experience with Netta was the absolute highlight of our ten-day trip in Italy! She even took us into her garden to pick the herbs that we used in our dishes!
As much as we loved visiting Florence and Rome, our time with Netta was the BEST of all. It was so awesome that I’m contemplating returning to Cortona with another friend specifically for another cooking experience with Netta!

Our class at Netta's Kitchen was one of the best things we did on our recent trip to Italy! Netta is so kind, warm, and to our surprise speaks perfect English. She has such an interesting story and background which really made the experience so much more special. He courses are reasonably priced and unique, you will truly get an authentic experience. If you are looking for a cooking class near Cortona, look no further. I can't recommend taking a course from Netta enough. Thank you so much Netta for such a memorable day, it was such an honor to meet and spend the day with you!

Netta brings real Italian cooking home in a way you will never forget... What an incredibly lovely host, amazing cook and idyllic setting. Netta brings her family's generations of authentic Italian cooking to an experience our family will never forget. She was beyond attentive to my wife's allergy restrictions having done all kinds of research unbeknownst to us before our arrival. The menu was planned to make sure our kids had active roles and pushed their knowledge on the right way to prepare and cook. Most importantly, she shared stories of the evolution of Italian dishes and how people have a history of working with whatever is available to them. When we sat down to enjoy our dinner, every succulent bite resonated with her stories of its history and the sweet and savory tastes of every ingredient. This was a day we will cherish as a family forever and could not have had a better host than Netta!

Netta is a great teacher. She patiently answered my questions about food, and shared insights into Italian cuisine. We had the pleasure of learning to prepare three delicious dishes: panna cotta, stuffed pork loin with fresh herbs and roasted potatoes, and pici cacio e pepe. The pici was the best pasta that we had over our 2 weeks in Italy... and we prepared it! Just for a gut check that evening, I ordered the same dish from a restaurant. Absolutely no comparison.

Netta is incredible! We made ravioli, a pork loin, and panna cotta for dessert. She is incredibly kind and patient. My wife and I booked a class with her for our honeymoon. It did not disappoint! When we arrived, Netta had appetizers for us and we also drank wine while we cooked. All of our food was absolutely delicious especially the pasta! We even had enough for leftovers. I would highly recommend booking a class with Netta if you’re in the Cortona/Camucia area. We didn’t have a car and her husband, Alan, kindly picked us up from the centre of Cortona. Both are wonderful people! You won’t go wrong booking a class with Netta.

Netta is proficient in both English and Italian, which meant that there was effective communication throughout the booking and class.

An absolutely wonderful experience! From start to finish, Netta made us feel like family and truly cared about us enjoying ourselves and learning her amazing recipes. She was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable, guiding us through each step with genuine warmth. This was the highlight of our trip, and we've already recreated the meals she taught us for three different gatherings. We couldn't recommend her more highly—thank you, Netta, for an unforgettable experience!

The highlight of our 30th anniversary trip was our visit to “Netta’s Kitchen”. From cutting our own herbs from her garden to an informal, yet incredible cooking experience, Netta was an absolute gem. Thoughtful, endearing, and oh so positive, our best meal of our trip was at Netta’s table. I feel like I have a friend in Cortona, for life. Thank you, Netta, for this wonderful memory. We are coming back!

Had such a wonderful experience with Netta! She welcomed us into her home and we made a full meal with 3 courses. She is so kind, her home is so warm, and the food was amazing! This class is a must if you're in that area. Also, buy her apron, it is one of my favorite treasures I brought home with me.

My friend and I took a pasta making class with Netta in late October. It was a wonderful experience and after we cooked three types of our homemade pasta we enjoyed dining with Netta. I can't say enough good things about the experience.

This was a highlight of our trip! Netta opened her home for cooking, sharing and friendship. She is an amazing instructor and cook. The meal was delicious. Thank you Netta and Alan.

Our experience with Netta was very pleasant and interesting. As Italians and great food lovers, thanks to this class we learned how to prepare traditional Tuscan dishes, and Netta's stories made our day even more special. We recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian cuisine experience.

Our cooking class with Netta was hands down the highlight of our time in Cortona! From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm, making us feel like part of her family. Her deep knowledge, experience, and passion for Italian cuisine shone through as she shared stories of summers spent with her grandparents in Italy and how her mother passed down the art of cooking to her. For the next few hours, we were completely immersed in the magic of Italian hospitality, learning to make incredible dishes from scratch. Netta’s expert guidance and insider tips made every step both fun and enlightening—there were so many techniques we had never encountered before! The cacio e pepe was perfection, the hand-rolled pici noodles had the most satisfying al dente bite, and the tiramisu? Absolutely heavenly—I could have eaten an entire tray! This experience was everything we hoped for and more. If you're visiting Cortona and want to dive into authentic Italian cooking, do not miss a class with Netta. It’s an unforgettable experience that will leave you with not just new skills, but wonderful memories

We had a wonderful experience cooking with Netta. We made an authentic Tuscan meal, including homemade pasta and Tiramisu. We were a group of six and all were hands-on in making each item of the meal. The experience was made even more memorable by Netta, who was engaging and kind, sharing her passion for Italian food while sharing her personal story. This is a must-do activity if you are in the Cortona region of Tuscany

Netta is a wonderful woman with a rich history in Italy. Beautiful setting for our Italian cooking class. The instruction was excellent and the food was delicious. Had the best time. I highly recommend if you get the chance to take a class with her. Netta and her husband are very charming, lovely and a joy to spend time with. The property is also amazing. Thanks Netta! Hope to see you again someday.

We thoroughly enjoyed Netta’s Pasta e Basta class! Netta’s hospitality and generosity made us feel welcome. Her patient, hands on approach made us feel confident that we could make the recipes at home. Each of the 3 recipes was delicious, and we look forward to serving them to our family and friends.

Best cooking class that I have ever been a part of. Netta is so welcoming and helped us make so many delicious recipes. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if we come back to Italy!

Cooking in Netta’s kitchen is much more than great food. The warmth in her kitchen radiates from 2 sources--Netta & her stove. A former teacher, Netta is a natural guiding her guests as they cook delicious typical Tuscan food. The hands on experience is enhanced by her personal stories. Don’t miss this special experience if you are lucky enough to be in or around Cortona.
