Born in London to Italian parents I have always been very proud of my heritage. I have fond memories growing up of trips to Italy to visit my nonni, aunts, uncles and cousins. In 2002 I moved with my family to live in CORTONA, Tuscany. We restored an old farmhouse just a five minute drive down the hill from the centre of Cortona.
Three years after moving to Cortona we opened a language school. It was through our language school offering Italian language and culture courses that the love and fascination which foreigners have for Italy and ITALIAN FOOD quickly became apparent. The Italian language is rich in culinary references that appear almost everywhere - in proverbs, idioms, songs, art, cinema and literature, and on a daily basis many conversations with friends and family in Italy include some mention of food.
It was this that led to my decision to start Netta's Kitchen, combining the Italian language with Italian cooking, and later, our all inclusive 7 night Tuscany Cultural Experience for small groups of up to a maximum of 8 people and our all inclusive tailor made custom "By Design" Tuscany Cultural Experience for private groups.
