Join me at my home to learn typical Tuscan home cooking using recipes passed down from generation to generation to create dishes at home for family and friends.
Food is at the heart of Italian culture and embodies tradition, family and regional pride. The flavours and experiences that Italian cuisine offers captivate people from around the world and brings them together around the table
The Italian language is rich in culinary references that appear almost everywhere - in proverbs, idioms, songs, art, cinema and literature, and on a daily basis many conversations with friends and family in Italy include some mention of food.
It was through my language school offering Italian language and cultural activities that the love and fascination which foreigners have for Italy and Italian food quickly became apparent.
With a background in teaching various subjects, I also taught Quick & Easy cooking classes at Adult Education Centres in the UK before moving to live in Italy 23 years ago. Combined with my Italian heritage and the fact that I was brought up on Italian food, I decided to add Netta's Kitchen to my language school, offering half day hands-on Tuscan cooking classes. It was then a natural step to create, together with my family, our seven night All-inclusive Tuscany Cultural Experiences for small groups, keeping numbers to a maximum of 6 to 8 people in order to offer a more personal experience. We also offer a full day Under the Tuscan Sun Experience as part of Netta's Kitchen, combining a fun morning of hands-on cooking in Netta's Kitchen with an afternoon of fun discovering and exploring Cortona, as well as full day Tuscany Cuiltural Experiences which also combine a fun morning of hands-on cooking in Netta's Kitchen before going on to another fun cultural experience for the afternoon.
